Summer Bucket List

It's so hard to believe that my school year is officially over!
It went by so fast!  I'm not complaining AT ALL.  I LOVE my summers at home with my family.
I will admit that by the end of July, I am ready to go back to work.  By then my sweet family and I need to get back into some sort of a daily routine.
For now I am looking forward to each and every day of summer vacation.
I always have a bucket list of things I want to accomplish each summer.

I couldn't wait to link up with these fabulous ladies for their "Summer Bucket Linky".

1.  The Beach
My husband and I are planning a trip to St. Thomas and St. John later this summer.
I can't wait.  We went there two years ago, and I fell in love with the island of St. John.

2.  Reading!!
I RARELY read for enjoyment during the school year.  There is just too much to do.  BUT when summer hits, I try to catch up on all of the book recommendations. Here are a few books that are on my list to read this summer.  I can't wait!!

3. Family Fun

The summer is the perfect time to take my kiddos to some local attractions such as the zoo, science center, Gateway Arch, and the Children's Museum.  We are also planning a getaway to the Lake of the Ozarks.  My family loves Tan-Tar-A resort!

4. Organization!

I've already gotten a jump start on this, but I want to be more organized with my TPT product ideas and planning.  I posted earlier in the week about this.

5.  Create more Teaching Units and Activities for the 2013-2014 school year.

I've written down so many ideas that I had during the year of teaching units I want to create to use with my students next year.  I hope to complete some back to school units, novel units, and some new science units.  Our current science book is not aligned to the new standards for the Science Common Core.  I need to create several units that I can use with my 3rd graders next year.

That's my TOP 5 for my Summer Bucket List.  Don't forget to click on the linky above to check out everyone's  Summer Bucket List.

I thought common core is only ELA and Math. We don't have any science. We must use our state science. Do you have science common core?
