Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes Linky

Hi Sweet Friends!
I'm so excited to visit with my family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday!
Fortunately our travel time is only a couple of hours.
We go to my husband's family on Thursday ,and then to my family on Saturday.
Friday is open for all of that holiday shopping.

I just had to link up with First Grade and Fabulous for a"Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes Linky"
My family gets asked to bring yummy desserts to our Thanksgiving feasts.  The one I'm going to share with you isn't a traditional Thanksgiving dessert, but it's always a hit.
It's called Ooey, Gooey Butter Cake.

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
2 eggs
8 oz. cream cheese
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, butter and eggs together. Spread into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs and vanilla. Pour over top of batter mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

AND I had to share my family's favorite recipe for using all of that leftover turkey...
Creamy Turkey and Noodle Vegetable Soup

5 cups water
(2) 10 ounce cans condensed cream of chicken and mushroom soup
2 cups chopped cooked turkey (about 10 ounces)
 (1) 10 ounce package frozen mixed vegetables (cut green beans, corn, diced carrots, and peas)
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper or garlic-pepper seasoning
1 1/2 cups of dried egg noodles

  • Directions
    1. In a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker, gradually stir the water into soup until smooth. Stir in turkey, frozen vegetables, and seasoned pepper.
    2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
    3. If using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Stir in uncooked noodles. Cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes more or just until noodles are tender.
