... Polka Dots and Classroom Redecorating

Whew!  I am SO glad the school day is done.  Nothing makes me more nervous terrified than to stand in front of a large group of adults and give a presentation.  3rd graders are no problem, but a large group of adults well.....    Our district had an inservice on the Common Core this afternoon, and since I was one of several teachers that has attended the Common Core workshops, we volunteered were elected to help with the presentation.  Now that it's over, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  Sigh!!!

I have spent the last several weeks SLOWLY updating my classroom look.  I was ready for something new.  I really like it.  My 10 year old daugher tells me, " Mom, it's SO .. bright".  I guess I will take that as a compliment.  I took the new theme from SchoolGirl's Style Polka Dot and Daisies classroom theme with yellow accents.  Here are a few pics of some updates..

I have 5 of these yellow and white flowers hanging above each group of desks.  I have five groups that I refer to by the days of the school week when lining up and etc. The polka dot center came from School Girl Style.
Here is a pic of the new labels I have added to my classroom library tubs, crates, and classroom tubs.  The labels came from School Girl Style.

Have a fabulous evening!  I can't wait for Dr. Seuss Day tomorrow.  I have several activities planned for my students that I think they will really enjoy, and it will give them a nice break from test prep.
