Monday Made It AND don't forget to enter the Giveaway

Monday is my  first day back.
** Sigh**
The summer has gone by way too fast!
I will miss my  time with my kiddos but am anxiously awaiting meeting my new group of third graders.  I just received my class roster late last week.  I have 26 sweet little third graders.  17 boys and 9 girls!!!

I couldn't wait to link up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for another Monday Made It.

1.  Framed Print for those first day of school photos

I wanted to create a framed print for my students to hold as I take those first day of school photos.  These adorable photos will be part of our "A Picture Perfect" School Year Album.  You can see more about this album by clicking on the picture below.

I created these prints for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.  You can click HERE to access this free download from Google Docs.

2. A Color by Candy - Getting to Know You Game
This idea was Pinterest inspired by She's Crafty.  To see her post, click HERE.
I purchased small packages of M&M's and created the printable you see above.  On the first day of school, I'm going to pair my students up, and they are going to complete this "Getting to Know You" activity.  If you would like a copy of this activity, click HERE to download it from Google Docs.

3.  A Vocabulary Notebook
This year my school district has adopted the Wonders program by McGraw Hill.  I've been studying up on the "Start Smart" part of the program.  There is so much vocabulary, and I wanted a way to make the study of vocabulary interactive for my students.  So I created a vocabulary notebook that my students will be making this first week of school.  I purchased 27 composition notebooks and already have all my printables for the students to adhere to their very own notebooks.  I'm so excited about these and think my students will really benefit from the use of a vocabulary notebook.  I also created 3 different types of vocabulary cards including a fold-it that can be used inside of this notebook.

If you are interested in finding out more about this "Vocabulary Notebook for Bigger Kids", click HERE or on the picture below.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out all the amazing Monday Made Its by clicking on Tara's linky button at the top of this post.

For those of you going back to work this week, " Have an amazing week!"

I almost forgot.... There's still time to enter the $75.00 gift card giveaway to Wise Decor Decorative Lettering.  Just click on the linky button below to enter.  The giveaway ends at midnight Monday.  I'll announce the winner Tuesday evening.

17 boys and 9 girls...oh my! :)

Your vocabulary notebooks look awesome. I'm just finishing "Word Nerds" right now and will be using vocabulary notebooks this year.

That's quite a load of 3rd graders! I'm still waiting to get my list as we start back tomorrow. Thankfully, we have a class size amendment and aren't supposed to have more than 18 students in K-3. I wasn't able to find the M&M's form on Google docs as it took me back to the original blogpost on the activity. Can you send me the link? JWtchr@comcast.net
Best of luck as you begin the year!
