It's only March 13. .. Can you believe over half of my class is wearing shorts?! We live in Illinois. Warm weather brings spring fever!! My kiddos definitely have the FEVER today. Who can blame them?! We are on the countdown to spring break which begins Friday afternoon. I hope the weather continues to be this fabulous!
I don't think I've mentioned today how FABULOUS all of you are! You are so amazing and have such wonderful ideas. Thanks for sharing. I love taking a peek at what's going on in everyone's classrooms. THANK YOU!
Fun in First has a Linky Party going on right now.... You know you teach_______ when. Check it out and Link up. Here is mine.....
I LOVE this next idea. I have to share with you my Book Recommendation Tree. I snagged this idea from Molly over at Lessons With Laughter. I LOVE her ideas. Check out her blog Here.
My students use this tree to write their book recommendations. My students are having a ball with this idea. I simply spray painted a clay pot and then added polka dot ribbon and a tag that says "Book Recommendation Tree" to the pot. I inserted craft foam into the bottom to anchor a tree branch that I also spray painted. Finally I laminated some brightly colored tags and added ribbon to them to place on the tree. Students simply use a dry erase marker to write their book recommendations. It can easily be wiped off in order to put another book recommendation later.
I also want to say Thank you to The 3Am Teacher and Melissa at Dilly Dabbles. I was one of the winners for their recent GIVEAWAY. It was my first time! I was so excited. Check out these fabulous items that I won. They are awesome. You can find these items in their TPT stores. Thank you ladies!
