I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS week! It's going by SO fast! The weather has been so WARM here. I just had to share a few postcards from our mini-vacay this spring break. Take a peek!
Now on to teaching related things. Sorry!! I've been a little side tracked this week. I just have to tell you about an exciting Giveaway that my friend Amber from The Adventures of Third Grade Teacher is having right now. She is giving away a $15 Target Gift Card and many other awesome things. Please check it out HERE. The Giveaway ends March 26.
Also, only a few more days to register for my 100 Followers Giveaway. You can find the details about this Giveaway and how to enter HERE.
One last thing, I wanted to share a couple of things I have been working on. When my students return from spring break, they will begin the story My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett.
This is such a fun book. I love to begin this unit with my students at the end of the year as we are wrapping things up. I just created a literature unit complete with a student booklet of vocab cards and comprehension questions that go over the story. I also have included additional activities such as a character map of Elmer, Fantasy versus Reality Activity, Story Map, Prediction activity with My Father's knapsack, a Dragon creative writing activity, Dragon Art, and literature centers. These include a Reader's Theater play, a making words activity, a vocab memory game, and a file folder game to review the story, and a postcard activity. This unit has been aligned to the new Common Core Standards. An informational sheet with the items and the standards they are aligned with are included at the end of the unit.Take a peek! You can find this in my TPT store for $4.00 or in my TN Shop ( everything is 20% off through Friday in this shop.)
I also just completed a "Lil' Ladybug Math Centers. This is over 44 pages. Included in this unit are: multiplication 0-12, division 0-12, addition with regrouping, subtraction with regrouping, time, and money. You can find it at my TPT store for $4.00 or my TN shop (everything is 20% off through Friday). Take a peek.
Have a great evening! Thanks for stopping by.
