St. Patrick's Day Freebie/Giveaway ends Friday

Whew!  I know if I'm exhausted, my students must be doubly exhausted because they've been doing all the WORK!  We've been preparing for our upcoming state test in March, and let me tell you my kiddos deserve every bit of their time off for spring break that's coming soon as these tests are over.

With our state testing coming up, I tried to create some activities my students can do in the afternoon that are a bit more creative and FUN.  One of the things I created was a "Lucky Puppy" craftivity.  I'm going to have my students complete a creative writing about the puppy they create, and then put the parts of their story "beginning", "middle", and "end" on a foldable.  Please download this freebie from my TPT store by clicking the link:http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Lucky-Puppy-Shamrock-Freebie
I also made a St. Patrick's day themed "Making Words" activity for my students.  I am going to use this during the week of testing also.  My kiddos love this activity, and I like to use it with our literacy centers. You can get a free sample from my TPT store by clicking the link:http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Lucky-Leprechaun-Making-Words-Activity

The Giveaway for a $25.00 Erin Condren e-card ends tomorrow at midnight.  If you haven't had a chance to check this out, please go to this link:http://stellar-students.blogspot.com/2012/02/first-ever-giveaway.html
This has been so much fun, and I have enjoyed the great ideas I have found at your blogs and becoming a follower of them.  Thanks so much!!! I can't wait to announce the winner via the random generator Saturday morning. Stay Tuned!!

One last little thing... take a peek at our Stellar Student desk.  I got this fabulous idea from   Vicky at Traditions, Laughter, and Happily Ever After.  Every hour I pick another student to sit at the Stellar Student desk.  Students are chosen by their great attitudes, manners, and behavior in the classroom.  They have been enjoying this so much!  It's been a great way for them to practice telling time because my students are reminding me when the hour is up and a new student should be chosen.  I simply cut the letters for Stellar and made some yellow stars to put on the desk.  On the name tag, I simply wrote "Stellar Student".  The students also get new supplies and a mechanical pencil to use ( which is a HUGE privilege for them).

Thanks for stopping by!    I would love to hear about your activities during testing week!
