Hi Friends!
I'm so glad it's Friday!!
I couldn't wait to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for:
Here are my Five:
Monday
Figurative Language Fun
The literature unit we are studying is filled with figurative language. I wanted to do a mini-lesson on figurative language with my 3rd graders. I used the ideas from Hojo's Teaching Adventures on a figurative language mini-lesson. You can read about it HERE.
Tuesday
Biography Lap Books
I'm sure I've mentioned how much I love lap books. We've been working on a biography unit. My students just finished up their biography lap books. They did such a great job!
Wednesday
End of Year countdown with balloons
We have 21 more school days. Isn't that amazing?! So we are celebrating with a balloon countdown in our classroom. At the end of each day a student is chosen to pick a balloon and pop it. Inside each balloon is a slip of paper with a fun activity to do the following day.
Thursday
This day was filled with rain.
Lots and LOTS, and LOTS of it
Streets were flooded, our school basement began to flood, even our parking lot at school began to flood
It was a crazy day to say the least.
We also wrapped up the day with creating thank you cards for our generous Donor's Choose Donor.
Take a look at what new item we have for our classroom.
