Favorite Pins Friday

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has been enjoying their week.

I'm linking up with Cara at First Grade Parade for Favorite Pins Friday!

Here are some of my favorite pins from this week.

1. Math Game " Don't Get Zapped"
How cute is this math game!?  I'm thinking it's made it to one of my Monday Made It "to do" lists.  I would change this game to multiplication and division for my 3rd graders.  This comes from Mrs. Samuelson's Swamp Frogs.  She also includes the labels that she uses with this game.

2.  Lego Tower Math Game
This would be a great math workshop activity for the beginning of the school year with my 3rd graders.  Who doesn't love Legos?  It would be easy to put together also.  This idea also comes from Mrs. Samuelson's Swamp Frogs.  She includes the labels in her post about this activity.

3.  What To Do When I'm Finished Activity Area
This idea comes from Hope King at Second Grade Shenanigans.  She used the back of a book shelf to attach file folders of activities for students.  This would be a perfect area to post items for " What to do when I'm finished".  I just put this idea on my "to do list" of Monday Made Its.

4.  Display for classroom
This is too cute and so easy!  Simply use Wordle to enter in the names of your students.  Then print out and frame.  I plan to have this on display at our "Back to School" night in a couple of weeks.  What a great way to make your students feel welcome in their new classroom.   This ideas comes from Keep It Simple Sister.

5.  Too funny!!!

6.  Just purchased this adorable print!
LOVE this!  You can find it HERE.

Favorite Pins Friday- July 12

Happy Friday Everyone!

Summer Fridays are just a bit different from those school day Fridays, don't you think?
There are some days during the summer, that I forget for a second what day it is.

I couldn't wait to link up with Cara from The First Grade Parade for:

Here are a few of my FAVORITE pins from the week.   To find out more, please click on each photo to take you to the link associated with each pin.

1.  Math Pins-  I've been working on my Math Workshop this week and have been pinning away on ideas I can use in this area.

This is called " Think Math".  It comes from Scholastic.com   I thought this would work great as a  "What to do When You are Finished Activity" in my classroom.

This math activity is called Division or Subtraction Facts Bucket Toss.  It comes from Flapjack Educational Resources.  I LOVE this idea!  Magnets have been added to these small buckets and then placed on a teacher's desk or filing cabinets.  Math problems were written on the bottle caps.  If students answered the problems correctly, they were able to toss the bottle caps into the buckets.  This sounds like such a fun way to practice those math facts.

This is called a Math Rings Game.  It also comes from Flapjack Educational Resources.  Math facts have been written on these plastic book bag hooks.

2.  Reading Ideas-  My classroom library and reading workshop areas are what I plan to work on next week.

This is such a cute bulletin board display.  It comes from Cupcakes and Curriculum.

Reading Buddies
I LOVE this idea!  I have a wall set aside in my classroom library for this.  We have oodles of those "Beany Babies" in a box at home.  I plan on giving my 3rd graders the opportunity to read with a Reading Buddy during our daily D.E.A.R. time.   Unfortunately this pin did not have a link to a blog post, so I simply linked the Pinterest link to this photo.

This idea would work perfectly in my Daily Word Work Area.  It comes from Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits. You can click HERE to check out Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits' post on this amazing idea.  I plan to  use my students' weekly spelling words  with this activity.

3. Inspiration or Favorite Quotes
I love this!  It comes from a website called God's Grace- Daily Inspiration.

I thought this so true.  How many of you when engaged in a conversation and say  "my kids", someone has to ask you is it your own children or your students in which you are referring?

Have an amazing weekend friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please go check out everyone's Favorite Pins Friday by clicking on the linky button at the top of this post.

Favorite Pins Friday

Happy Friday Sweet Friends!

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th!
We had some fabulous family time, pool time, and watched some great fireworks.
I must admit though at times it felt like our house might be under attack as it shook from our neighbor's own fireworks show.  Our dog has refused to come out of hiding.

I have been "pinning" away this summer with so many ideas for home and at school.
