Can you believe that 2012 is almost finished and a new year is about to begin?
My Sweet Mom was right!! Time does fly as you get older.
As I watch my own children grow up so quickly, I'll be the first to admit that I wish it would slow down... just a bit.
I'm linking up with Jen from Teacher's Cauldron for :
If you are like me, I always have several New Year's resolutions.
Unfortunately, I'm lucky if I can stick to 1 of them.
So I thought I'd come up with 1 resolution for personal and 1 for blogging that I plan to hope to stick with.
Personal: Take more family photos. My kids are growing up so fast. I'm always enjoying those precious moments, but never seem to capture those memories as they happen to save for later. Here's a couple aside from birthdays and Christmas that I managed to take this year.
This was taken during our family fishing trip to ReelFoot Lake in TN. My husband loves to fish. He caught nothing.. nada.. zilch... the whole weekend we were there. We still had fun... there was a huge craft fair in the area which I enjoyed checking out. So while the boys were fishing, I was able to spend some quality time with my daughter.
This picture was taken on a Saturday morning during deer hunting season in our neck of the woods. My littlest one happened to look into our back yard and noticed 3 deer taking refuge from the hunters. So like any little 3 year old boy will do, he had to go get his toy gun please don't judge.
AND for my blogging resolution:
To post more comments both for those who make comments to me and to the other wonderful bloggers that I follow. I get so many fabulous ideas and inspiration from all of you. Life gets busy, and I need to take a few minutes of each day to leave comments. I know I love to receive them myself and everyone puts so much effort, time, and bits of love into their posts.
As we close out 2012, I just want to say "THANK YOU". This has been such a remarkable year of change for me. I began this blog last February and soon began creating units for TPT. You have inspired me, made my day over and over again, and made me a better teacher. I have met so many amazing teachers that I call friends even though I have never met them face to face. I am so excited to walk into my classroom each day and begin those daily adventures with my 3rd graders. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of this!!!
Enjoy these last few days of 2012.

I agree with you about commenting. I like to find time to comment to all my bloggy friends that leave a comment for me! I just feel like I have to return the favor! Good luck with your resolutions!
Great resolutions. Both the family photos and comments let others know you are in the moment with them:)

Great resolutions! I love to comment on great blog posts, too. It is very time consuming, but, I'm a due unto others type person. Sometimes, when I blog and no one comments, it makes me feel like I'm talking to myself! LOL! Happy New Year to you!

I loved your post Krista, I agree with all that you said. It is so hard to do it all!! I also started my blog at the end of February and you were one of my first bloggy buddies. Thank you for always taking the time to leave me a nice comment and sharing all of your ideas.
I hope 2013 is fabulous for you!!

Lovely family! I agree about taking more pictures...I have a million of my oldest daughter but far fewer pictures now that we have two. And hardly any printed.

Love your family pics- have you ever seen the 30-day photo challenges out there on the web? I want to try one, just to force myself to snap a pic of my daughter & family for a whole month... we'll see how many days I last :)
Happy 2013!!

I am so glad that you left a comment for me and I now I have found you--your blog is beautiful! I am looking forward to knowing you better in 2013.
We both have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl! The pic of your son could have come from our family album, lol! My youngest has just turned 12, but he still breaks out the light sabers when he needs to burn some energy. My teenagers really don't want me to take pics of them anymore. The "letting go" is hard.
Happy New Year!
Great resolutions:)
I need to join this linky to make myself accountable for my resolutions!!
I have to say that I enjoy reading your blog posts. All of them are light and easy to read, and any mothers would be able to relate to them. I am slowly getting inspired to starting my own site despite that I don't have any kids and pictures to share. Maybe I'll get inspiration from my family? Paper writing service
